We spent our first two nights in the Haight and Asbury area of San Francisco in a great place we found on Airbnb.

Check out the small serving of sweet potato fries! Good job we were hungry after our delayed flight from LA.

The neighbourhood was full of beautiful old houses.

We were within walking distance of Golden Gate Park and spend half a day wandering around in there.

The Japanese tea house gardens

We enjoyed Haight street and the sights and sounds it offered. It was certainly an area full of colourful characters! from a guy dressed as a pirate on a skateboard to a homeless man laughing his way down the street. Our favourite was a guy with an Afro sitting with a type writer and a sign saying give me a topic and your price and I will give you a poem. Why we didn't take a picture or a poem I don't know? Must have been the jet lag. There was also a guy with a drum and a sign that said, “I need money for the drum sticks!”
